Ice Cream, Summer and Pretty Flowers. 16th August.

Whilst I was in the city of Peterborough today I realised the us Brits seem to have a love affair with ice cream cones in the summer. Wherever you look there is someone holding a wafer cone filled with soft vanilla ice cream, I have to say that I embrace the trend of ice cream in the summer! Even on days which aren't particularly hot or "summery" the ice cream vans come out in force and the punters flock towards their nearest ice cream distribution centre.

I also found these two rather vibrant flowers today in the gardens surrounding the Peterborough Cathedral, I decided to suddenly become a nature photographer and snapped a couple of typical stock-photography style shots.

A Great British Pub. 8th June.

If there were no Pubs in Great Britain would it be the same? In my opinion I don't think it would be, there would be no traditional "pub meals", where would morris dancers go after dancing? Or would the game of darts be as popular as it is now? I think the humble British Pub has a lot to be thanked for, long may it continue doing what it has always done!

Rain on the Patio. 3rd June.

So today it was half way through the Jubilee holidays, and unsurprisingly the British weather decided to rain! This did not stop us brit's celebrating though, London seemed to be packed out, and many people were attending parties and hoarding into camp sites. Personally, I am hoping that the weather brightens up tomorrow.. I have two events tomorrow which I am very excited to photograph, and some glorious weather would be perfect, but if that doesn't happen I will be a brit and shoot no matter what!

Ferry Meadows. 27th May.

Today was very beautiful, it would have been a crime not to go out and enjoy the weather! So a few friends and I decided to have a BBQ at our local park, ferry meadows, the picnic was Jubilee themed, so we had Union Flag bunting and traditional "British" food, such as a Victoria Sponge. I have to admit that I am starting to become an Instagram Photographer, it is such a useful tool... it's like a camera and photoshop all built into an iPhone, I promise that I will not rely on it all the time... it is very useful though!

Union Flags on the Square. 25th May.

It's that time of 2012, all across Britain villages, towns and cities are all gearing to celebrate one big event... the Queen's Jubilee! As I was walking around my town today I saw the square garbed with union flags and a couple of fairground attractions! I might go down there tomorrow with the Mamyia when everything is in full swing, it will be great so capture how towns such as mine embrace "Britishness" by celebrating events such as the Jubilee!
