More Mist with Campervans. 24th October.

I was driving home through the misty fenland surroundings when I saw this campervan, I quite liked it and pulled over so that I could take a quick snapshot of it against the river... it was one of those completely impromptu moments, but now I regret not crossing the road and taking a portrait of the owner who was fishing.. next time I will (if there ever is a next time!)

Motions of Life. 9th May.

Have you ever driven home and then realised that you can not remember your journey home? People go through the same motions day in, day out; these motions are so familiar to people that they stop thinking about them and just do them. I remember when my family moved house when I was younger, my parents sometimes automatically drove towards our old house before realising that we did not live there any more; my parents were so used to making that one journey. I wonder how many things we actually do in our day without thinking about them? If we videoed ourselves, how different would our lives look like to how we see them?

Driving 6th May.

I like driving, it gives you the opportunity to explore and find new and amazing places, driving helps you escape into your own little bubble, it is also a really important tool which helps me access the subjects for my photographic projects. Nothing beats being on an open road on a beautiful day and just being able to enjoy the world around you!

Drive Time. 19th April

Ever since passing my test I have learnt to love driving, during my time learning I had quite a love-hate relationship with driving... but now I understand it and know how to feel comfortable with it I find that driving somehow helps you relax but also stay completely focussed. I recently drove around 350 miles, which took 8 hours... and it was a pleasure, if you learn to respect the vehicle and the road and treat it safely and carefully... then driving is something you will learn to love.

In other news, I have been very busy today with the photographers from Awkward Noise, we have been setting up our online profiles, and preparing for our exhibition. If you did not know Awkward Noise is a collective of photographers which I am a part of, we are all working on projects which shall be exhibited in a couple of months times.. and we all have our eyes focussed on the goal of becoming prestigious photographers.
